Firefox freezing or hangs every few seconds

If you browse a lot using Firefox, you might be able to see that sometimes it behaves with stroke when you open tabs, then a state or time comes when it is for some time Hangs / gets trapped (like trying to decide something) for a few moments, everything is freezing and then life comes back again. Its strange but it seems almost like this.

Quick solution to this problem can increase session session interval time. Firefox remembers everything and tries to save session and data while browsing it. Its default time is every 10 seconds after every ten seconds it sends a signal to freeze the activity and saves the session And then does the income. We can change session saving time.

Firefox freezing or hangs every few seconds solution:

  • Open Firefox
  • Type about: config in the address bar
  • Hit enter
  • You will get a warning message, press the button "I'll be careful, I promise"
  • You will find many entries that you can modify to change the settings of Firefox
  • In filter bar type: browser.session store.interval
  • Change this value to increase it to a larger level in milliseconds
  • This is the time interval after which Firefox saves session data. If it will be set to a higher level, you are able to do whatever you are doing (browsing websites, YouTube or any activity related to other browsers), without any interruption.

The interval is specified in milliseconds. To reduce it, enter a small value, 5000 will mean that the active session gets deposited every 5 seconds instead of every 10 seconds. If you want to increase the value, add 60000 to 30000 or 60 seconds for 3000 seconds.
